100%. Vermont just voted to fund SNAP and food banks during the closure (they'll reevaluate every couple of weeks). The feds just denied our FEMA request. We're a small state, but for a state like California? It's a much easier choice to not participate.

It definitely is, but I really feel like maybe we all need to do more real world stuff. More things that are out of our comfort zone. I think I'll keep seeking out new things to check out.

Local elections are happening all over Massachusetts next week, including for school boards! You know what happens when you assume, right? Do your research now to make sure you're voting for candidates that support the right to read

My local bar listed a book club as one of the events this month and the book looked great, so I checked to see if the club was open to anyone and went last night with a friend! Super excited about jumping outside my comfort zone. I also really enjoyed this book. I'm all about the cozy right now.

They're so old now. I feel like if you want your characters to be kids you need a season every year, not wait so long they're focusing on their 401ks.

*gasp*

A rising tide lifts all boats. This is the opposite of that. And it always, always is with them.
