These are AWESOME.
17.04.2025 20:29 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0No new AC Radio tonight, BUT ... @crimsoncast.bsky.social hosted an emergency pod this afternoon with Tony Adragna that Ryan and I were able to hop on.

Boom!
Really encouraged by types of players Coach DDV is bringing in so far.
There are obvious questions about how all will fare at a higher level, but they are archetypes we haven't seen much in recent seasons.
Yeah, have not missed it at all

Lamar Wilkerson wanted to be "a priority". Indiana coach Darian DeVries went the extra mile to make sure Wilkerson felt that way about Indiana. In an interview with college basketball website Field Of 68, Wilkerson detailed his decision-making process. www.si.com/college/indi...

New episode of AC tonight!

What an unfortunate way for Emanuel Sharp's tournament to end. He's been so clutch.
Tough way to lose for Houston. Congrats to Florida.
The DeVries Era officially begins now.
Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat. I still enjoy making the occasional joke, but it's more for the lols than an indication of any lingering regret. It didn't work out for Sampson at IU, but he's turned into the coach it always seemed he could be. Now we need to find our own.
07.04.2025 19:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Who are you rooting for tonight?
I know this is the wrong answer for an IU account to give ... but I think I'll end up pulling for Houston.
I've already built the muscle memory rooting for them against Purdue & Duke, and I find their toughness and chemistry pretty easy to root for.
Congratulations to @zachosterman.bsky.social for winning the Jim OβConnell Award for excellence in beat reporting by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.
A well-deserved honor for a writer IU fans are lucky to call our own.

That's pretty cool.
07.04.2025 14:03 β π 0 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I would LOVE to be able to imagine that level of sports suffering.
07.04.2025 13:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There's always a UConn basketball championship shirt. Just need to create fill-in-the-blank templates each year for men's or women's, apparently.
07.04.2025 12:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0New Xs and Joes is live, with Josh Burton from Everything College Basketball.
A requiem for the Mike Woodson era.

Who are your favorite college basketball follows here on Bluesky?

Houston's historic win against Duke started with a loss to the Blue Devils a year and a week ago. The Cougars had been here before, and they wouldn't wilt.

And yes, the foul call on Flagg was a terrible, game-changing call.
Also: nobody besides Duke fans give a damn.
The Blue Devils will be paying off their debt from all the calls Coach K in the tournament got for a long, long time.
Duke has some great players, but many of them are still boys. Houston has a bunch of men that will either rip your heart out or die trying.
And man I really want to describe IU basketball that way again someday.
First thought today upon waking up and reflecting on last night's incredible Duke-Houston game:
I love watching Kelvin Sampsonβs teams play. Itβs not always pretty, but the mental and physical toughness, and chemistry, are absolutely incredible.
But our lawyer is @jayhorrey.bsky.social so he just made fun of us all for failing to advance to the final weekend of the chalkiest knockout pool ever.
04.04.2025 15:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well remember, we do have Tucker DeVries, who is an all-conference level player.
04.04.2025 15:42 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In case you missed it, Ryan and Scott released their annual "two co-pilots" episode.
We had our lawyers listen before hitting publish.

Still think it's way, way premature to even start judging. Okay, maybe a little. :-) But still plenty of time.
