It’s ludicrous that my son gets the ‘autism pass’ because he is blind. His autism has never been questioned, and for sure he is autistic. But I can just imagine if he was sighted, we’d have to prove it. Pro tip: he knows the Melbourne train routes and all their stations.

Ha. Same as the person I’ve come to know. Child diagnosed first, adult’s issues identified. As someone who has been dealing with these diagnoses since the 90s in our family, I’m so happy that it’s positive rather than shameful.
