have you ever tried permaculture technics for poor soil you want to reuses/ create a humus rich soil from? i've used these methods and it worked quite well... you could just ad a lot of branches, leaves, cutted grass /hey and so on, compstable plant waste... on top cover it with composte earth -1/2

the red creole ones look look delicious. you could also harvest 'peu à peu' - just what you need fresh for eating... bon apetit!

i hope they are doing well and putting their green straight up. if you are in a windy area, it might help them if you plant them a little deeper next time.

... onions are strong (like their flavour). in a few days they will look like before the storm i assume.
