Jesus Christ. The "pivot" lasted about 15 minutes.

Arresting a black journalist under the Ku Klux Klan Act for covering a pro-immigration protest at a Christian nationalist church led by an ICE officer is the perfect encapsulation of this administration's authoritarianism, racism, and trolling.

I'm sorry if this sounds radical, but I don't think Dems should be voting to give this deeply unpopular, lawless, fascistic secret police force billions more dollars.

I also must say that it's a bit rich that Trump and his DOJ think it's a good idea to gin up a bullshit investigation about supposed illegalities in ... {checks notes} … renovating a federal building

Congratulations to all the bankers, hedge-fund managers, private-equity honchos, tech titans, corporate executives and op-ed writers for backing the man who will do more to undermine the system that made them insanely wealthy than any other presidential candidate in their lifetimes.

They want it formally dead, but NATO is already functionally dead as a geopolitical reality. Even if he backs down (wouldn't bet on it), there's no going back from sending European capitals into a spiraling panic that the US is seriously about to invade one of them. You can't unring that bell.

Men who look upon themselves born to reign, and others to obey, soon grow insolent; selected from the rest of mankind their minds are early poisoned by importance; and the world they act in differs so materially from the world at large, that they have but little opportunity of knowing its true interests, and when they succeed to the government are frequently the most ignorant and unfit of any throughout the dominions.

Democrats should run on the fact that their opposition is literally killing Americans and destroying the country.

It’s not hyperbole. That’s the message they should be blasting out to media every day.

They are killing Americans and destroying the country. They hate our freedom. They hate democracy

The regime is dead serious about Greenland. They're totally high on the Venezuela coup and think they could get away with anything right now, no consequences.

It's, "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?"

But for war

Tomorrow the US Congress gets to celebrate the current president sending a mob to kill the Congress and only giving up when the mob failed to kill his vice president.

It's illegal for the president to relieve student loan debt. It's completely fine for the president to unilaterally decide to have the head of a foreign nation black bagged on foreign soil.

Excerpt from Jack Smith deposition:

For nearly three decades I have been a career prosecutor. I have served during both Republican and Democratic administrations and I've been guided by those principles in every role I've held. I continued to honor those principles when I was appointed to serve as special counsel in November of 2022.

The decision to bring charges against President Trump was mine, but the basis for those charges rests entirely with President Trump and his actions, as alleged in the indictments returned by grand juries in two different districts.

Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results of the 2020 election and to prevent the lawful transfer of power.

Our investigation also developed powerful evidence that showed that President Trump willfully retained highly classified documents after he left office in January of 2021, storing them at his social club, including in a ballroom and a bathroom. He then repeatedly tried to obstruct justice to conceal his continued retention of those documents.

I remain grateful for the counsel, judgment, and advice of my team as I executed my responsibilities. I am both saddened and angered that President Trump has sought revenge against career prosecutors, FBI agents, and support staff simply for doing their jobs and for having worked on those cases.

On Jack Smith deposition, now released:

100% obvious why GOP refused to allow this as open testimony, aired live. It's damning.

Testimony from John Dean or Alex ("wiretaps") Butterfield in Watergate days would have 1/10th the impact if just in print.

What Smith says is far more incriminating.

There was a vogue for climate debates along these same lines a decade or so back. And for evolution/creationism before that. With very few exceptions, these formats are stacked against the mainstream position. I recommend not doing them (and yes, I speak from experience).

A recent modeling study in JAMA showed that if MMR vaccine rates drop 10% (easy to see happen with this), we’re back to 400,000-500,000 cases a year. Our current outbreak is 2,000. This turns the clock back to 1950 🚨🚨🚨

Screenshot from project 2025 that says By statute or regulation, CDC guidance must be prohibited from taking on a prescriptive character. For example, never again should CDC officials be allowed to say in their official capacity that school children "should be" masked or vaccinated (through a schedule or otherwise) or prohibited from learning in a school building.
Such decisions should be left to parents and medical providers. We have learned that when CDC says what people "should" do, it readily becomes a "must" backed by severe punishments, including criminal penalties. CDC should report on the risks and effectiveness of all infectious disease-mitigation measures dispassionately and leave the "should" and "must" policy calls to politically accountable parties.
Conflicts of Interest. There was a time when the CDC could not take money

It is utterly catastrophic that RFK Jr. plans to end CDC recommendations for most childhood vaccines.

It’s a betrayal of science, ethics, compassion, and the people of the United States.

And it was also a specific goal of Project 2025 (page 254).

LUCY: The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand.

CHARLIE BROWN: That’s a Christmas play?

LUCY: Charlie Brown. In this age of mob thinking, it is our duty to resist the crowd.

"ICE and CBP must be abolished" is the only reasonable position. We can debate the specifics of new agencies for immigration functions, but these agencies are simply too infected with a culture of impunity, racism, and fascism to continue. They're gangs with badges.
