Its probably a good idea to ban tesla from selling in canada at all after its alleged financial fraud last time.

Look at this partnership in a positive light, and I do believe that with the right terms and checks and balances, we will not have much to worry on from the Chinese government, we have managed these partnerships in the past. So.. thanks for more info and more perspective!!

Nonsense, but byd is just one of many Chinese firms. There are some small and medium companies that with the right partnership, the ability to expand, or even just a new market, could well help see canada become become the next leader in electric and hybrid vehicle technology.
