tl;dr i prefer to avoid making big Donate Please posts whenever possible but my four year old cat was just diagnosed with hyperthyroidism (very young age for this) and just the vet visit to figure out "why is she 4 pounds" cost $500 i don't have. the surgery will cost $1500-$3000
