Divorce laws in this country are fucked for women and kids, not deadbeat men like Oliver.

I don’t plan on using this much for now | She/her | TIRF | Mets fan and Jewish history enjoyer (among other things)

12.06.2025 16:26 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Alimony is not common anymore unless there is a genuine financial need and in practice this is just whining about men needing to contribute anything to their impoverished kids. Why would Oliver Anthony be a genuine interlocutor?
12.06.2025 16:26 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Do you think whites need programs to become “healthy white people”? That’s the accurate comparison because whiteness, like manhood is a socially constructed identity to oppress others who don’t meet its standards
28.05.2025 15:31 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0In a non-patriarchal world where men didn’t have majority of power, such programs would also be unjustified
28.05.2025 15:29 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It’s not my job as a feminist to believe anti-feminist junk science and reverse discrimination fantasies, though.
27.05.2025 17:49 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0You have not coherently responded to the statistics or articles I posted. You have also not responded to the fact that parental alienation was coined by a pedophile psychiatrist.
27.05.2025 17:47 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Propublica reported a case where there was documented physical and sexual abuse and neglect of a child by his father for *years*. The court found that the mother's reports of abuse were a "danger" to the child's health, and the father was awarded custody.
www.propublica.org/article/both...
This concept of "parental alienation" was invented by Richard Gardner, a psychiatrist who testified against victims of abuse in hundreds of custody battles. He openly argued that reporting child abuse, thereby "stealing” the child from the father, was more harmful than actual abuse.
27.05.2025 17:37 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 3 📌 0The reason for this is because in addition to the general climate of hostility towards women and children who are victims of abuse by men, there is widespread belief (by people like you) in the courts that women fabricate claims of abuse in order to "alienate" their children from the father.
27.05.2025 17:35 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0Nice anecdotal evidence.
When a mother reports that her husband abused her or her child, she is disbelieved a majority of the time. When she reports her child was sexually abused, she is disbelieved 85%+ of the time. If she reports physical & sexual child abuse, she loses custody 50% of the time.
Good for you, but “you” in my other comment was for manosphere viewers generally
27.05.2025 16:48 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0PUAs and Redpillers wrote rape manuals and most popular figureheads abused women, you are genuinely a bad person if you give money/support to men who assault women regardless of if you personally also do it.
27.05.2025 16:39 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Only small portions of Islamists, neo-Nazis, etc commit violence but almost all engage (if only passively) in communities that promote violence. Same for manosphere.
Most upvoted thread on the most popular incel site was one celebrating a 17 y/o girl having her throat slit.
That’s because the manosphere is just a collection of disparate but connected groups but neo-Nazism is a specific idea.
You’re constantly sympathy-posting for the manosphere because you simply don’t care about patriarchy or their well-documented violence against women.
They are human traits that should not be enforced based on gender. Not every “masculine” trait is good and vice versa.
By that vague definition, single mothers are more “masculine” than 95% of men.
Why should those traits be exclusive/more common in men?
27.05.2025 16:13 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Apply this to racist neo-Nazi groups and not just manosphere groups like you usually do
27.05.2025 16:12 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Family court/custody bias against men is a myth though
27.05.2025 16:06 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 3 📌 0Pinker also argued that women are biologically wired to do more housework
24.05.2025 14:11 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0The statistical evidence there is for male variability is well, highly variable (from the book “Delusions of Gender”)
15.05.2025 20:43 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0No I guess you just see them as “just victims of patriarchy as well :(“ which is almost as ignorant
04.05.2025 22:14 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Also Jews and Asians are more educated than white Christian people and I don’t see you crying about how they’re actually oppressed, because that’s obviously nonsense.
04.05.2025 22:10 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0And yet, it’s still higher than ever for both sexes.
Men can make good money without a college degree, my brothers make decent money in HVAC and trades, whereas low-paying female-dominated jobs require degrees
Males are not marginalized in education (they’re in fact given preference in college admissions) and are more educated than they ever have been, they just aren’t the majority of college students anymore.
04.05.2025 21:46 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The concern I have isn’t really about politicians specifically or even that the manosphere is normalized, but that the narrative framings will be.
If people believe “women oppress men” or “false accusations are common” then it doesn’t matter if they denounce the manosphere on a general level
I know it wasn’t your intention but there is currently an effort by media (esp guys like Josh) and academics to legitimize manosphere ideas in the mainstream. I am sensitive to that as a girl from a family that immigrated from an even more patriarchal country…

Thank you.
It’s not that I think saying negative stuff constantly would help but I don’t actually have much hope for anything helping, and it definitely isn’t what’s making it worse.
Earlier this year at my highschool a bunch of teenage boys spread images of me and half the girls in my grade and generated nudes with AI, tell me how me being sexually harassed isn’t part of patriarchy?
04.05.2025 01:50 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0Masculinity isn’t a natural phenomenon, and we shouldn’t gender positive behavior (which is what the whole concept of “positive masculinity” does)
