That actually makes so much sense! The castle has libraries with scholars talking about ancient magic, but Locke wouldn't know how to recognize that. I'm kind of impressed.

I just realized how funny it is that you can use magic near Locke and he is just completely clueless about it until you get Edgar in the party who properly freaks out about it.

The last week has felt more like months

I know that being kept uneducated, impoverished, and hateful was largely out of their control. But the idea of respecting any of them right now or feeling sorry for any of them who were deceived... No. Just no.

I know it's petty and not helpful. But I don't give a single shit about them right now.

I know that when all the dust settles on the national and global hellscape on the horizon, we will need to get back to trusting one another rather than the greedy monsters and tyrants that rule our little lives.

I don't want to try anymore to suggest that they consider diversifying their news sources or opening their minds to non-black/white thinking. Quite honestly, fuck that. And fuck them.

I can't anymore. I can't log in there. I don't want to pretend anymore that I'm not profoundly upset and disappointed at how people in my life have abandoned all reason and empathy.

And sometimes I speak to the ill-informed and narrow-minded ones on there with empathetic pleas to consider other perspectives and advice about how the rich are manipulating both the right and the left against each other, etc. with the faint hope that even one of them will give it a passing thought.

Don't tell me to have compassion for any Trump voters right now.

Until a few days ago I was light handed with my posts on Facebook. I detest that platform and very rarely endure opening it, but I have a lot of distant family and friends I feel the need to remain connected to.
