If you take off DM from non friends off by default, then that basically ruins everything you worked for. Second Life is what you made, and made it for those to interact and communicate with those around the world. Doing that, just back tracks what you worked for.

No it should not be off by default. That is how you diminish first time users for getting friends. Griefing and phishing happens if the user feeds so gullibly into the feral toxic game. Then that is when it is the user's fault for letting it happen.

I am just tired of it all too. I want everyone to just get along and not throw numbers into people's faces. It is highly unfair to those that are just starting out and wanting to get somewhere or those that just want to post for fun. It is a sad world now for that to be happening...

The new sim for new players can contain of events for new comers and shops to help them start off their beginners home or their avis that they are just building up. Maybe can show them pointers on how to do certain cool tricks.

The reason why I do it is because if they have no connections to the ones I am friends with or me in general, they have no right to be on my parcel because my home is private for me and only me and friends. If they are newbies, then maybe make a new player sim for those that have just started.
