I haven't touched FF7 since the Eidos PC port but I wanted to farm inspiration for my Fabula Ultima game. While I never stopped preferring Chrono Trigger over this, the third act (basically the Rocket Launch through the ending) hits that "last season sticks the landing" fever pitch

I'm an FF7 contrarian but even I gotta admit that the sequence of everyone running from the cockpit to the deck and parachuting into martial law Ed Midgar after spending most of the game locked out of it is pretty sick to the point that I expect part 3 of the remake to botch it.

I think this is the most (ir)rationally mad I've ever gotten at a fighting game in quite a bit. Just top to bottom annoyed with graphics and mechanics and menus.

Season 3 never got a release.

Pete & Pete has a lot of film language that I'd put as slightly sophisticated for a kid's show but not entirely out of media comprehension. It's mostly music video directors fucking around with indie band friends telling stories about sick days and staying up all night. It deserves preservation.

I really love the way this show shows small gestures as ripples of love. Frieren knows everything about Fern because Heiter basically wrote an instruction manual on how to raise her. Fren clutching Stark's bracelet is a great touch
