Cannot comprehend the opposition to Lossiemouth in the Mares race.

She’s won just shy of a million quid and won at three festivals - The Triumph and two Mares races.

She will sluice up.

I mean: the top class entertainment I’m actually going for is Golden Ace retaining her crown, Found a Fifty chinning Majborough on the line and landing my ante-post Lucky 15. But, you do you and all that…

The new Faugheen?! Why sure you could have run him in the champion and he would have hacked up… πŸ˜‰

This is the week so many horses lose at Cheltenham.

When their connections confirm them for the wrong races.

No names no pack drills.

Cough. Wendigo…

The (BBC’s) idea that domestic bills are safe when oil and gas go through the roof is nuts. How do they think every import gets to your local Tesco?

Energy prices going up is the single biggest driver of inflation of everything.

Every single thing that is made or transported uses energy.

In World War II it is estimated that 4% of bombs hit their target. 4%.

Filled my tank up. 6p a litre higher than last week.

That’ll do wonders for your inflation figures, Rach.

I lasted in racing for just over 12 months. It’s a wonderful sport that succeeds despite its governance. Many well intentioned people. Many lovely people. All of whom are trying to pin jelly to a wall.

#WonderMan on Disney+ is funny. Some good in-jokes. A bit like Marvel meets Altman’s β€˜The Player’.

Government is intent on backing AI.

As yet unproven and un-monetised.

A massive drain on energy and currently hollowing out youth employment.

And in return all we have to sacrifice is our creative industries - envied the world over and generating in excess of 5% the UK’s GDP.

It does no one any favours for the chancellor to blame inflation caused by exiting Covid and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on domestic policy choices.

Because now when oil and gas prices surge and inflation spikes again it is her fault (and not the situation in Iran).

Even if you don’t believe in climate change (which makes you an idiot), it’s so clear today why we quickly need to end our reliance on oil.

Been saying elsewhere, VAR isn’t the issue. The standard of refereeing on and off the pitch, and the total inconsistency in applying laws is the issue.

We’ve got the same poor refs but with added technology too.

Like giving better running shoes to someone with a broken leg…

Other sports have adopted technology with so fewer issues. I don’t understand why football can’t?

It feels like refs weren’t good enough so we tried to fix it with tech. Now
we’ve got refs who are still not good enough using tech (and using it really badly).

I’m glad we’re in the championship!

watched MoTD for 1st time in years and my feeling is the technology isn’t the problem, the refs make a horlicks of applying it. Sunderland had a clear penalty and Burnley’s equaliser should only be ruled it if it’s ’clear and obvious’ and given it took over 5 mins how can it have been?! Madness.

What is absolutely nuts is that the Greens are:

Against wealth inequality
Against genocide
Against racism

For:
Renationalising rail
Renationalising water
Greener better energy
The leveson report
Reforming media ownership
Social housing

…

How are Labour losing to that agenda??

How??

The media is obsessed with pushing right wing division.

The truth is that decent honest people don’t give a toss about people crossing the channel.

They don’t get up and check how many boats set sail.

They’ve been told that these boats equate to hard times for them.

They don’t. Billionaires do.

The Greens are positive on migration.

Time for the Libs and Labour to front up.

I don’t care who you vote for. But I am chuffed to see hope defeat hate.

It reaffirms my belief in human nature.

For too long we’ve only been able to vote for different types of rain.

Finally a break in the clouds.

Not a massive fan of reality tv but I do love The Great British Menu.

It’s a great lesson in critiquing.

Young chefs are delighted to be told how to improve.

They welcome it. Cherish it even:

Which is exactly how every young professional should approach their craft and career.

This series of #SilentWitness couldn’t get much darker!

Although tonight’s is also a bit incredible too.
