P6M are learning about the Learning Pit and Growth Mindset. We read statements and then decided if they showed a Growth Mindset, Fixed Mindset or both. 😊

The STEM BLAST team were challenged to fit through a sheet of A4 paper today and to build a paper tower which could support a tin of food. We also shared our ideas for future STEM BLAST sessions. 😁

P6M enjoyed creating wind vanes and anemometers to investigate where would be the best location in our school playground to place wind turbines. Unfortunately there was very little wind today so we'll carry out our investigation on a windier day. 😅🌬 #ScotClimateWeek #KeepScotlandBeautiful

P6M learned what they could do to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals with help from Miss Kerr and her local choir group. We listened to the song they created and identified key words from the lyrics to help us learn that One Little Step can make a big difference. #GlobalGoals #Community

P6M enjoyed taking part in the Keep Scotland Beautiful live Climate Action Scotland lesson. We are looking forward to making changes to achieve Climate Action points and help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. #GlobalGoals

P6M kicked off Maths week Scotland 2025 by tackling the first online daily challenge. We applied different strategies to work out our answers. #MathsWeekScotland

P6M challenged themselves to create and solve mental addition calculations with their partner by choosing numbers. We could choose from 1, 2, 3, or 4 digit numbers which we had created. ➕️😁

P6M reflected on how Beth, the main character from our class novel Orion Lost, would feel when faced with challenging situations. We applied our Decider Skills to show how Beth could overcome the different challenges. 🤩

P6M have been learning about Dignity. We acted out different scenarios to show what went wrong when dignity wasn't shown. We then reflected to show how dignity could be shown instead. We all agreed that treating others with dignity is very important. 😊

Mrs McKenzie told P6M all about her visit to the UNICEF pavillion at the World Expo in Japan where she learned how different countries are working to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. P6M decided to find out more via the Smurfs Speak Up Campaign. Look out for our posters. #ActNow
