Today would have been my mom’s birthday. I loved her with all my heart, & this is the first one since she passed. There’s a party planned for her today, & I honestly don’t get it. She’s gone. It feels morbid, & instead of comforting, it just reopens the hurt. This is going to be a rough day.

Chosen family is best.

Happy Father’s Day to my dad, Butch. You were always there for us—making sure we were fed, had a roof over our heads, and everything we needed (and more).
