My nomination here (yes, as a golf game player, but you don't have to be my kind of sicko for it to hit!): A Little Golf Journey, a golf game with a wealth of secrets and hidden challenges to find. I'd term it "Golf, for people who liked Super Mario World."

Hear me out...
Univerally praised games are neat enough, but nothing hits quite like something unpopular that speaks to *you*.
So show-and-tell: Link and Explain a game that's UNDERRATED (sub-500 user reviews), UNDERRATED (sub 80% score) or BOTH (ideally!) that is near and dear to your heart.
Gunpoint, a very funny, interesting take on the stealth hacker game genre. Also it let you punch cops in the face...a LOT!!!(there's a archivement for doing it 100 times)

Umihara Kawase, the first or third (Sayonara) games. They are difficult to beat, but the grappling hook is fun to learn and the short downtimes make game over's feel forgiving despite having to start over.
It demonstrates that losing doesn't have to feel crappy

Corpus Edax, really cool immersive sim and a passion project that I really wish more people give a chance to play it.

Solving puzzles in this game itches a scratch that not many other games do. Itβs like turn based zelda dungeon puzzles, or something
Not great art or music, but it gets the job done. The well-designed levels and puzzles are the highlights

For an upcoming story, I'd like to hear from people who have had an encounter with a stranger recording them on Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses. If that's you or you can pass along this request to someone else who has experienced this, I'm at miles_klee@wired.com or millionbear.44 on Signal. Thanks!

I have now met the Behemoths. One of them tapped me on the shoulder.
Everything but KDE, seemingly, but I'll certainly keep it in mind! Maybe my Skirnir (on Mint Cinnamon) would like it.

"Don't scroll past this!" - I will.
"Don't ignore this!" - Consider it ignored.
"If you don't reblog this you are literal human trash" - And you will never, ever have the evidence to prove it.
Look. Just say what you're gonna say. Don't prefix it with appeals to guilt. Shit don't work on me.
Christ I have missed this look. I even really liked the old Ubuntu Human theme, from before Unity.

it's off to NHK World Japan instead for my cat content.

09.03.2026 20:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Incidentally, folks in Hillsboro, OR, we've been ordering takeout from China Wok on Cornell Road since the start of the lockdowns, I'm glad they've been in business and they've been our pick for Chinese take-out almost exclusively for six years. Their Crab Rangoon never survives the first night. π

Sparing a random thought for a computer games downloads site I used to frequent around 2000: Games32, a website that decided that "Delta Force" (1999, NovaLogic) was a Platform Game.

the first truly great emulation website i'd ever seen was a spot called "Emulation Universe" - it was the first site I'd encountered that had anything resembling a complete set of NES games.
Also used to be one that had a complete (for v0.36) MAME set; I forgot its name after all these years.
As a reminder:
YES Dungeons of DUSK is coming to mobile and
YES it really plays like this
evidently that whole thing was such a mess that, 25 years later, dad could walk into some other church in a neighboring town, and have a completely different elder ask him "what are _you_ doing in here?"
frankly i'm amazed my parents still try to go; i personally am just put off by the whole thing.
