What's the difference though between the two? I can't recall if the Steam one updated automatically. I think it still asked you if you wanted to update... But I'm not sure

I'll give you my answer cuz why not. When I started using Blender, I've only ever seen it pop up randomly on the Steam app, so basically I got that version and used it for hundreds of course just because... I never thought it could also have a website I could download it from 🙃 I'm very smart 👌

I've been playing it lately! It's really cozy and useful 🌻
