Lucky to have seen them live back in the early 80,s at the Leas Cliff hall ,Folkestone .......brilliant ! Sitting in an aisle seat.....was very surprised to have Griff Rhys Jones saunter down the aisle in Bondage gear !

Hope the beer was better than Spurs performance !

Pretty warm along the local canal today(8c).Finally found some small Fieldfare flocks ,mixed with many Redwings .A Raven staked his claim to one of the Pylons ,and a GW.Egret briefly by the roadbridge,+a Kingfisher and single Little + Cattle Egrets over. A worry two Mute Swan remains (Bird flu ?)

The late great John Mayall ,saw him live at the Leas Cliff hall Folkestone a few years ago ,as we entered the venue from the car park and went to the bar area...........whos that on the merch ;stall.......only the man himself !

Scrub bash earlier Martin . A volunteer who lives just off Kerton rd .showed me his garden record for 24th (on "Merlin APP) he's not a birder . it went.. Herring Gull ..Yel leg Gull ..Wood Pigeon ..Blackbird..White Eyed Vireo (!!)..and so on. He took a pic..and deleted it ! he said .."is it rare "

Little point now .......the damage is done !

Been admiring those trees for forty plus years ! just can,t understand what they,ve gained from cutting them down ,and it looks like more are to be removed ......just don't get it !

Birdwise yes ......but now even more of the Hawthorns ,Willows have been felled ,particularly near Newlands farm ,inc the wind blown individuals......there will be even less birds (winter thrushes ) to see . .....an absolute mess ! (see my last post )

Been on Walland in the last few days Martin ? things looking a bit bleak (to say the least !) near Newlands farm ,Midley Wall .

A pleasant walk in pretty warm weather (for late November !) at Samphire Hoe ! earlier ,a few Stonechats about ,and a very vocal Peregrine on the cliffs .Along the sea wall 3 Black Redstarts .......but the oddest sighting ,midway up the cliff face ,a male Pheasant ! #birds #SamphireHoe #Wildflowers

Yes ,I believe there have been quite a few Spix in captivity (and breeding ) for some years now ,and thought that some had already been released ........ but could be wrong !
