I’m don’t get people who go off to war and then get butthurt when people from that country (or area) try to kill you.

Like, dude, that’s what war is.

But this Venezuela shit? This isn’t war. This is the worse type of use of the military justified by folks who’d shit their pants in actual combat.

I watched soldiers kick a Taliban member repeatedly and I told them to stop, only to be instructed by my own chain of command not to get involved.

But that was war, and war is war and I’m not everyone, but I’d like to think I’m fucking human and can recognize when someone is a threat or not.

As someone who was troubled by watching members of the Afghan National Army simply kick a detainee…
