Escaping #Tashkent today for a trip down to #Bhukara near the border with #Turkmenistan. Lunch at the Lyabi House Hotel before heading back to the airport.

Nice morning wandering around the State Geology Museum in #Tashkent. Great display of mineral specimens and some dinosaur bit and pieces.

Continuing my trip through the #tashkent metro here are the bomb blast doors at Minor station.

The wonderful Kosmonavtlar #Tashkent metro station featuring Yuri Gagarin and many others. Found out today that until about 2018 I would have been arrested for taking these as the metro stations doubled as bomb shelters.
