It’s very strange to me how many hockey pundits and podcasters have said the Sabres need to move on from Lindy Ruff and replace him with somebody who’s younger and has more energy and then suggest John Tortorella who is two years older than Ruff

At every Timberwolves and Wild game they play Prince music and treat him like a god. The Sabres and Bills should do the same with Ani DiFranco.

As a Celtics fan, it feels weirder to see Horford as a Warrior than Smart as a Laker.

Other than the stupid penalties, that might have been the most complete game I’ve seen the Sabres play in years.

From start to finish they were in sync and anticipating instead of just reacting and chasing.

The return of Benson and Power has made a huge difference.

I can’t believe the Sabres couldn’t get one full healthy game out of Norris. I hope I’m wrong, but it looked like the left shoulder which he’s had three surgeries on. I doubt he’ll be back anytime soon. I really thought he was going to have a good year.

As a Sabres fan I’m going through a weird time where I’m rooting for the Leafs to win in the 2nd rd, the Hurricanes to win the East, and the Stars to win it all. Ugh

Tonight’s Sabres game went exactly as people said it would: Number 24 scored against his former team and his team won.

The article goes on to say “They don’t know why the deal didn’t happen”. Well I can give you 3 reasons.

1. It’s a crappy offer.
2. The Sabres have said they don’t want draft picks.
3. According to Jeff Marek (Probably the only hockey insider I trust) JJ Peterka is Terry Pegula’s favorite player.

This turned out to be another gigantic exaggeration. The “massive” offer was a first rd pick and an unnamed roster player. Since the Rangers are trying to improve their roster for a playoff run that means the player was most likely a bottom 6 forward. That’s not a massive offer, that’s a crappy one.

A perfect example of this is from a recent 32 thought where he said IF Alex Tuch were available then MAYBE a team like Tampa would be interested. There’s no indication that the Sabres have any intention of trading Tuch.

Elliot admitted that he was just spit balling when he threw out Cozens and Byram for Petrerson. He never reported that was actually discussed.

What I’m really getting at here is that Elliot seems completely OK with putting Sabres names in rumors but seems to refuse do it with guys from other teams.

Not going to argue that since there’s no way of proving it either way, but you didn’t answer the question.

I personally think Elliot has been making up a lot of the Cozens stuff. Does anyone else find it weird that he says he knows that 2/3 of league has talked to the Sabres about Cozens but can’t name a single player that’s been offered in exchange for Cozens?

I don’t want the Sabres to trade Cozens but since, according to my feed, almost every team in the league is interested in him, they had better get an enormous haul if they do.

I’ve been impressed with Kulich’s hockey sense since the first time I saw him. He might be the smartest Sabre since Briere.

Rewatched the Sabres 3rd period against Canes and it was even uglier a 2nd time. Can someone tell Ruff this isn’t 1999 and you don’t have Hasek. There’s no more clutching grabbing and obstruction. You can’t sit on leads like you used to. You have to at least try to posses the puck and counterattack.

I don’t care what their records are, the Sabres are better than the Senators.

Alex Tuch is from the Buffalo area and grew up a Sabres fan. The Sabres need guys who want to be there like Tuch. Literally 0% chance they trade him. If the Sabres make a deal it will be to package their prospects for a proven vet.
