Opinion: The biggest mistake in the Wichita sales tax proposal is . . . Using part of a 1% sales tax to provide property tax relief would send about as many dollars out of Wichita as it would bring in.

Proponents of a 1% sales tax for Wichita say it would make visitors passing through pay more and reduce our property taxes. But that math ain't mathin'.
