The term you're looking for is "exploitation." Quit trying to dress it up with nonsense terms like "quiet promotion" that bury what's happening. There's no "promotion," they're just making employees do more without any kind of compensation. "The exposure is the compensation!" Bull. Shit. Pay people.

It's right up there with how everything I know about Batman is from like 1 movie, a couple animated episodes, no context comic panels, memes, and porn artist mutuals that frequently post/reblog lore deep dives and thought pieces.

I love reading fandom posts where it feels like I'm having a stroke as my brain tries to figure out all the bizarre terms mashed together to fit a character limit, yet someone else will understand it. Truly one of the beautiful things about the internet. (/gen)

That said, I lived off Domino's and their rewards of free pizzas/etc when I was broke in uni (10+years ago) because of how well pizza stretched for multiple meals (and how bonkers broken their rewards system was). They've fixed their rewards somewhat but they do still have some of the best deals.

I have been trying to find Halloween and fall things (bc fav holiday) and they legit have been getting pushed down in seasonal sections of sites and stores by Christmas decor since like August. Pure insanity.

I do play some roms, but it's still frustrating to see as someone who would prefer to play the OG games legitly and increasingly feels priced out. Mostly sad that enough people will very likely still pay to encourage the practice and price hikes to companies.

My biggest take away from the latest #NintendoDirect is that we can likely expect a growing trend of companies announcing paid dlc before the actual game EVEN RELEASES, lmao. GTFOutta here with that, Pokemon, smh.

There are "common sense" gun control advocates among the hunting community that are dem/repub/etc, but we do get attacked for not being further to either side of the issue and it can be really hard for us to have more of a voice because of that.

A lot of gun control advocates are quite often also against hunting+guns for protection (disabled now but used to shoot/hunt). This is a big issue in a lot of rural communities. It's quite divisive+makes them feel like everyone is against them rather than working towards compromise.

That said, no-one was bringing *handguns* to school and there were rules about how any rifle brought had to be stored behind a lock. I know they did occasional inspections (had friends with older family with stories) and my brain wants to say they had to inform the admin about it, but that's fuzzy.

Jives with what I grew up with. It wasn't uncommon in rural communities to bring rifles that were stored in their cars or in a secure place in the school. I grew up hearing a lot about it being in a hunting community bc I went through soon after the ban. We used to have a school hunting club.
