I actually said to my bestie that she should join me at a fantasy ball so I can wear it again and we can go as elemental human dragons, she’s claimed earth/green, perhaps we need a red/fire dragon to join us too? 👀

My friends think I look like an ice dragon in human form so if that elevates the experience for ya… 😂

I know it won’t get picked as a guest outfit, but I’m still tempted to bring it to an event for a Friday or Sunday thing. I thought I didn’t want to be a ‘princess’ but it was so much fun playing the part I may need to reprise it irl!!

Additional credit to the Milwaukee Public Library for use of their beautiful space. I spent so much of my youth tucked away in my local library like a little Prism, it’s only fitting that we did such an amazing shoot for a lore themed set in a palace of beautiful stories. 📖

Fabric, sculpting, and hours of crafting only tell half of the story. I couldn’t weave this fairytale without my friends @ohmybreadsticks.bsky.social and Michelle working their magic behind the camera. They gave me the confidence to feel like a true queen. Thank you both so much! 🩵

It’s my biggest flaw as a cosplayer, if I can’t do it well I don’t event want to attempt. I hold wayyy too high of standards for what I make that sometimes it holds me back from even trying from crippling fear of failure. That’s why spoilers are so exciting, they force me to just take the leap!

I debated whether I could actually make a cosplay in time for tomorrow’s spoiler. I can’t emphasize how much this build intimidated me bc I don’t sew, but somehow I managed to make this cosplay from scratch in 3 days and I can’t wait to show you guys the pics! RIP my previously clean home. 😭 #fabtcg

It is something I’ll never top in my life accomplishments lol. I’m a player as much as I’m a cosplayer so this is just the highest honor. I thought they might use my sword for the art I never expected them to use my name. 🥹

In 2024 I brought Hala to life. But a warrior requires an epic sword. I made the Zenith Blade for between the Dawn and the Dusk there is the Zenith of the Light. I asked James to make her a hero and he vowed my sword would be there too. Thank you for making me part of this legendary story. ⚔️ #fabtcg

More like ‘dug up’ lol. I just got the heads up on this a few days ago, but rest assured the 2.0 version cosplay from complete scratch is underway, will be greatly enhanced, and coming to an event near you this spring. ⚔️

Further, if someone has already made a costume and is fully ready to apply that means they had to do so without the knowledge that it ‘should have been’ a young hero, sucks to be them if they picked something else right? Better luck next time! 🫠

The biggest issue I have with the completion idea is the timing and theming requirements. Having a cosplay ready to go 3 months before an event without prior notice is asking a LOT. Especially if you might not be selected. I say this as a cosplayer with 17 FaB costumes at my ‘disposal’.

I will admit I’m sad to have to choose between continuing work on a cosplay that has been a passion project or drop it to quickly whip up a young hero cosplay. I think that people would rather see the intricacy/complexity of the original project, but they aren’t the ones reviewing the application. 🥲

It’s not a new hero, but I still think it’s a pretty cool ‘story’ and I can’t wait to tell it! ⚔️
