Kev do you a filter at all for Moon shots? In every case of my images some areas especially peaks are always overexposed or is that just me being a dummy?

The Horsehead and Flame Nebula.
55 years ago I saw an image of the Horsehead in a book on Astronomy, that image sparked a lifetime love of the subject.
This is 1 hour of data from last night in SHO.

Thanks Bryan years of practice using OSC. Got the mono cam and filters early Jan only had 2 short clear sessions so far but am amazed at the quality of the mono data.

It is called the Hubble Palette I.e. the colours assigned to the wavelengths of light of sulfer, hydrogen and oxygen to the red green and blue channels in a colour image, as for real we all see colours differently if you were to be able to see this in straight RGB it would look mainly red

This is a narrowband image of the Soul nebula using a filter which only allows a very narrowband 3nm of Hydrogen alpha light through. I used a mono camera which means the light is gathered in every pixel unlike a One shot Colour camera which will only collect Ha light in the red channel.

An image of the soul nebula which resembles an unborn child. Skywatcher Esprit 100 ED, ASI2600 MM, Altair 3nm Ha filter.

The Soul Nebula in Ha. This is 30 mins in Ha from the only clear spell since my mono set up arrived. The signal is so much stronger than with my one shot colour camera.
I guess 30 mins in mono is equivalent 120 mins with OSC
Can't wait to get the Sii and Oiii.
