It’s really important that #Vancouver’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally against bike-lanes, are now among their most vigourous supporters, because of ACTUAL EVIDENCE that they’re better for downtown business than any street parking they replaced.

Safe bike-lanes mean business.

BREAKING: The BC Labour Relations Board has ruled that all research assistants at Simon Fraser University are workers and members of the Teaching Support Staff Union (TSSU).

TSSU successfully organized research assistants twice over the last six years.

True that, except "making it about him" is more like making it about the mayor. it's an ongoing tactic: break the rules that the mayor must enforce? Blame the mayor! table of bad motion that can't be supported? Blame the opposition! Post to social media and repeat. Ad nauseum infinitum.

Like @stickers66.bsky.social said, this is part of a campaign and likely an escalation of the campaign. Fontaine and the NWP has been in that mode for at least a year already. My question: what are the consequences for absenteeism? They basically walked off their job without notice!

All Canadian party leaders would be well-advised to recognize that investing in the post-secondary sector is investing in Canada's current & future economic & cultural health.
