If you own a Switch 2, I want you to start playing a side scrolling game on the internal screen. Think about where your eyes are focused while playing. Do you focus on the character? The background? Some other part of the image? Pay close attention and report back with results!

I tried to pre-order one when those went live but couldn't. As in, Target's website kept crashing. I'm sure I'll get one eventually but not if I have to jump through a million hoops just to play Mario Kart or whatever.

Stunned by the Polygon news. I remember when it launched in 2012 thinking to myself: "They've done it: they're created the perfect website."

My thoughts go out to everyone affected by the Polygon layoffs today. So many bold and talented writers and personalities have gone through that site during its time, and it’s a shame to see another horseshit acquisition leave good people jobless.

Been thinking about replaying Final Fantasy IX. I only played it once, at launch in late 2000.

I have a Mister and a RetroTink 4K, so I could go that route but man the game is choppy. Right now I'm leaning toward playing the Steam version on my Steam Deck with the Moguri / Memoria mod. We'll seeee.

Oblivion's remaster impresses with its fidelity and asset quality (although it needs more saturation), but I am NOT impressed by the frame-time smoothness and CPU performance. The game has hitches any and everywhere you go in the open world. It needs serious patching.
