Such a fantastic story. As a horror, as a vampire novel, and as a revenge story. Love it.

And an amazing job at weaving in history, too. Especially such terrible events and inhuman acts that took place.

Had a bit of a reading slump these past couple months, but thanks to "A Psalm for the Wild-Built" by Becky Chambers, it seems I'm getting out of the quagmire and into the world of wonder again!

Had a fox attack my hens while they were free ranging.

My Buckeye hen, Warden, took over a roo's role and went after the predator.

So proud of her. She lived, and will be forever be the Bravest Hen Ever.

This year has been hard with two members of my flock passing away. RIP Indominus Rex and Rocky.

But I am looking forward to getting new chicks this June and bonding with them.
