I remember when monarchs weren't a "combo" deck. While yes, they still kinda play on a different axis by being a semi lock out strategy, I miss the days of stormforth into Caius as the premier midrange strategy.

It at least explains why kai'sa is so strong. If you just play the best sorcery speed cards and play towards that you'll never get got. Just very sad that it makes my Leona deck 10 trillion times worse...

Now that doesn't sound horrible, until you realize interaction decks are now held hostage by the turn player. Since your mana is use it or lose it on every action that makes a closed state (the time you can play reactions) the turn player has full control over how and when you are able to play cards

It's wild how seemingly small rules interactions can change a game so much. I've been playing #riftbound since release.... Wrong apparently >.> There is no round of priority and the end of turn.
