Such a fun film to produce, with a truly great cast & crew. It was thanks to the late, great Jim Jacks that we were able to get the film made. He fought for our little film and so many others, including films by the Coen Brothers, Kevin Smith and Richard Linklater.

Where do I go with a problem with gift articles? I tried to share one today, and it said that I had no free gift articles for February and had to wait until March. I haven't shared any gift articles in February.

Absolutely staggeringly stupid. We have come so close to completely eradicating polio (only ever done this once before with smallpox). It's so easy for these diseases to regain a foothold. If you're not old enough to remember - it causes paralysis and death mainly affecting young children.

My mother, who was an elementary school teacher, used to be unhappy about neighbors who loved our excellent local school district when THEIR kids were attending but complained about supporting it with their tax dollars once their kids were grown.

Opinion | Stephen Colbert Hits a High Note

I think you’ve hit on something true. You might find this piece about Stephen Colbert and this final season of his cancelled show interesting.

A month into my new job, my first real scoop.
Exposing thousands of babies to β€œa significant risk” of hepatitis B β€œin a low-income country with limited health care resources” would be β€œwildly unethical and a disgraceful use of American taxpayer money,” @angierasmussen.bsky.social said.

This situation so saddens me. I've always loved Canada and the traditionally close and very friendly relationship between the US and Canada. I completely understand why Canadians feel they need to distance themselves.

Unfortunately, I can confirm that this is true.

I have known Carl for 2 decades and he is smart, dedicated, and quite apolitical, focused on science and getting stuff done on important problems.

Huge unnecessary loss of leadership and expertise.

Meta is earning a fortune on a deluge of fraudulent ads, documents show Meta projected 10% of its 2024 revenue would come from ads for scams and banned goods, and it internally estimates that its platforms show users 15 billion scam ads a day, company documents show.

This seems ripe for federal scrutiny hahaha who am I kidding?

Have I mentioned that this company sucks?
