i see a lot of people afraid that “the union” is an obstacle to overcome- like a predatory, evil org designed to hold creatives hostage and make work unattainable. i wanna try and untangle some of that.

A post on Twitter by Kayli Mills that reads: This is actually.. kinda diabolical. If you need the money, at LEAST take the role uncredited. This just comes off as an easy grab for clout. It's not a good look. Her post then has a note attached with “readers added context”: According to voice actor Nathan Nokes, fellow VA Jacob Takanashi who is a Japan based VA had no knowledge of the strike or the circumstance of which the role was being recasted.

Since Kayli’s tweet had a reader added context note slapped onto it, I’ll go ahead and add my own here:
