I heard about a group of authors choosing a new event name as "Writer's Salon" but it was misprinted as "Writer's Saloon" to great outcry by those claiming insensitivity to alcohol abuse. They corrected the typo, but I guess ignored the community concerns because they left "Writer's" in there.

I am fortunate enough to no longer be acquainted with any such habitual contrarians. I do not think I have lost anything by their absence.
