Forces control Field Forces within the areas that their Patterns are woven and spelled/fired, but can also be used to do things like create zones of "if/then" protocols and fields where kinetic force mimic mass without being bound to matter. (Mage hands/ hardlight constructs function off of this.)

Space and Time are self explanatory, but also more complicated than my dumb hugmage brain wants to get into right now. They are woven as a fabric together, but are still separate threads/ materials.

Alternatively, if a mage is working only with the Mechanical Quintessences, and wants to throw someone against the wall without moving the air or creating a field of force, then they can use Event to do so.

Event is the Quintessence that makes things happen. If Energy is what allows a mage to create masses of electrons that were not there before, it is Event that enables them while working solely with Mechanical Quintessences to send the electrons leaping towards a location as a bolt of lightning.

Likewise, objects have their own Patterns, independent of the materials they are made of, and things such as stars are represented within the Weavings as Patterns of Energy and Event Combined.

Most energetic particles, both with and without mass, are formed solely by Patterns of Energy Quintessence, but those that can manifest as either particles or waves- or both simultaneously- have Patterns that use both Energy and Event.

Within Mechanical Quintessences, Energy is the only one that possesses the ability to create. It is also sometimes just called Creation, or Matter/Energy. Matter and Energy in all of their forms are generated by the universe from raw magic using Patterns that involve this Quintessence.

A poem about grief. The poem reads: Grief, are you like venom? A bite from another's death? A slow moving oil, you cling to my veins, my arteries. They are burned, black, your pitch a dye moved by my still beating heart. Might you be a poison, rancid and foul? Thrust down my throat, Unfatal yet unceasing. I feel you roiling in my gut, spread through my intestines, propagating vomit and muck. An illness this body cannot excrete. I think you might be like roots, a fungus, hungry and self choking. Pierce me, spread oily tendrils through my aching form, wrap around my limbs dig through my eyes. When will you let me water you with my tears?

Wrote a poem yesterday, did some touching up today. Been a while since I did poetry, and it might kinda edgy, but it feels good to do this sorta thing.

Wish I could cry more. It comes in short spurts but feels like a relief every time, like my body's been holding onto the grief and is finally letting it out.

Humanity, for example, tends to teach Spirit, Mind, Flesh, World, and Memory as being Metaphysical Quintessences, but in Sangheili magic "Honor" often replaces or acts as the same thing as either Spirit or Memory, depending on the practicioner.

Finally, Metaphysical Quintessences generally come from a spiritual outlook on reality or life. This group also differs based on one's personal and cultural background, often moreso than Primeval Quintessences do.

Primeval Quintessences are thought to be derived from nature. Among humans in particular, they are Fire, Water, the Soil/ Ground, Air, and Life/ "Soul". These differ sometimes based on personal and cultural factors.

Mechanical Quintessences are a group thought to emerge from the more rational, oftentimes science based viewing of the world. As such, this group holds the Quintessences of Energy, Event, Space, Time, and the Forces.

Each group of Quintessence's patterns are, on the whole throughout reality(s), called a Weaving. Together, every Weaving is part of the Great Weaving, or the Body of Creation.
