Track Session, Sprints

I met a running buddy who isn’t fit and he wanted to run 5k slowly on track. His easy pace is my regenerative pace. So I did every lap a 10s sprint @ 90% effort and then ran the rest of the lap with him.

That was fun.

Good morning. Back to freezing..18F, real feel of 8. That coyote was close. Saw a hawk & the first mallard couple. Run included 5 x 1/2 mi under 10k, 2 min jog. That was tough but happy to be done. Sad the fabulous Olympics are over. Happy Monday. Enjoy your workouts #runningpunks 🏃‍♀️🩷

I’m sure there are specialist forums for topics like this but today I lost my pole virginity. I tried trail running with poles for the 1st time. It probably wasn’t a thing of fluid beauty to watch but I think they helped. Got a nasty cut in my leg but don’t know how #RunningPunks #PoleWanker

I’m sick for some days now but today I did my first run for a while. A little bit of running ABC and a nice and short 6 min @ 3:50 min/km to shake my legs.

A shorter long run today. Which was ok since we’ve been dragged back into winter. It was a ‘cold’ 30F compared to the ‘warm’ 30F earlier this week. Saw a few other runners since I slept in for an extra hour. Gave a nice fist bump 👊🏻 to a passing one. #running #runsky #runningpunks

It was a snowy 14km run today. Deep snow along the path means sinking in on every step.

Sometimes runners need to train our Grit, so we’ll be tougher the next time we need to use it. This was good Grit Training!
