Summer is coming to its end here in the northern parts of Sweden but I managed to at least start on some knives, completed some laser orders and managed to squeeze in some party and good food too!

Thanks for this year @knivexpo at Vadstena castle, what an event, 70+ knife makers and material exhibitors!

Bowie

An older bowie that I still have at home for some reason, at the time it was a huge challenge and my second or third freehand grinded blade ever :) flat bar laminated by Swedish maker Fredrik Spåre then ground, heattreated and etched by me, bolster in bronze and carved handle in stabilized boxelder.

Cooking and knifemaking have a lot in common.

Both often require planning and precision but sometimes just running with the flow is what's needed to move forward!

How do you look at food vs knifemaking?
