Stan Musial didnβt have a Topps card prior to 1958; in fact, he didnβt have any cards from 1955 to 1957. As the story goes, in 1958, Cardinals owner Gussie Busch asked Topps for a donation to charity. Sy Berger agreed to donate $1500 if Musial would agree to be on a Topps card. #CardSky 1/2

One of the greatest pitchers in Japanese history, Masaichi Kaneda is the only pitcher in NPB history to win 400 games. βThe Emporerβ struck out nearly 4500 hitters in his career and had two no-hitters and a perfect game. #CardSky #collect #thehobby 1/2
09.12.2024 13:55 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Not always true! Sometimes there isnβt a number. For example, 1997-2005 Topps doesnβt have card #7. 1955 Topps doesnβt have #175, 186, 203 and 209. Etc.

Beatles went from Please please Me to the White Album in five years. If youβre talking about a 5-year run I donβt see how anything compares. You can pick any start and end point in their careers and the 5-year run beats any other IMO. Help! to Let It Be was also 5 years.

Bobby and Billy Shantz couldnβt have been more different, despite Billy being on the same team as his brother. 5β6β Bobby won the 1952 AL MVP and played for 16 seasons, winning 8 consecutive Gold Gloves and making 3 All-Star teams.
