Check on your emotionally reserved friends. A lot of us don't express distress openly and many people mistake that for invulnerability or hypercompetence. I find that especially true among trans people.

A cell's surface area to volume ratio must be the correct size otherwise the cell ruptures and dies from the forces of excess mass on the cell walls trying to hold it together. Could be applicable to corporations that think they are too big to fail.

Anything that isn’t “give trans people in Kansas money right now” is really not helpful because in order to successfully move to another state, you NEED to have current valid identification! Drivers licenses are critical to daily life functions and invalid ID has huge and immediate consequences!

The Kansas legislature should be sued for creating a catch-22 and wasting taxpayer dollars on singling out and bullying a vulnerable demographic when they could have used their legislature time on more important issues.

Trans people already pay out the nose multiple times to have documents reflect who they really are, and the state basically going "nuh uh! Having done all that and driving is a misdemeanor now!!1!1!" Really sounds like a class action waiting to happen.

I was thinking about this yesterday, and it also makes me mad bc unless the state of KS is going to mail you personally a new ASAB drivers license, making people pay AGAIN for a misgendering driver's license is a cruel and unusual additional fee imposed on people and entrapment for not paying a fee.

I just remember that you're not the only one who sees it. No, you're not wrong or crazy. And even when it looks like we all have much more terrible bigger material problems to fight off right now in the US especially, it doesn't make the sting of the intra-community angst completely go away.

I can't say I disagree with your assessment. I could rant at length about double standards of not-so-benevolent sexism in the queer online communities: Who's allowed to be celebrated vs. who's expected to deal with constant scrutiny, and suspicion, etc. but I know better than to kindle a flame war.

If you aren’t supporting trans people then it’s only a matter of time before nobody’s supporting *you,* no matter what happens to us.

The way that RFK jr. Calls gender affirming care "sex rejecting procedures" sounds terrible. But also.. I'm tempted to make a studded jacket that says
"💔🔪SEX🔥🥀🔥REJECT💥⛓️‍💥" because at this point just up and owning it might be more punk.

I understand the instinct to donate to orgs that are helping trans folks flee red states but let's not forget about the orgs that are still fighting for trans folks in red states.

But by opposites I don't mean like good and evil or haters to lovers. I guess I mean more like complimentary colors but still vibrant, not murky. Like kind-purple with kind-yellow, but not kind-purple with mean-yellow. Like moral congruence, but style, personality and skills are complimentary.

I don't believe in twin flames and I think it's bunk and keeping people in anxious trauma bonds who would otherwise be able to part ways. That said, I'm more of an opposites-attract believer.
