Hello... McFly .....
You're not in the EU so you have absolutely no voice whatsoever in this matter....
love how we killed the old, frail anti-nuke ayatollah just to have him replaced with his young, healthy son who wants nukes and who just had his father, mother, wife, and child murdered on the same day by his mortal enemy. surely this will bring peace to the region

Oh yeah - totally agree.
I mean... we already knew before Al Gore came out with his 'inconvenient truth' and that was 20 years ago....
I have worked on this and am pretty invested in it.
I think this is one of the great conundrums of our time that we aren't paying attention to.
And that in turn means that we need them to not DGAF, but get this stuff out of the ground with minimal harm to the earth, the surroundings and the (local) stakeholders involved.
People and companies need to step up to get us out of this π© situation. 7/7
(sorry for the rant)
As an example replacing all aluminium on a BMW with this 0 carbon aluminium would add Β£ 100 to the cost.
BMW has done a survey under it's users.
No one wants to pay it.
Because no one understands why it is needed.
But to be energy independent, we need the mining industry. 6/7
We also need a mark like 'biological' or 'free range' food - but for materials. Because apparently no one wants to pay a higher price for materials that are made in the most respectful way possible (see elysis.com/en) 5/7

To get to global net neutral we need to recycle as much copper as possible AND mine as much copper as has been mined in the whole of human history. That is how much copper we need.
This is why we need to get mining companies to but more mine-ful (#getit) and do it in better ways. 4/7
So now, in NL, like back in the 70's, people are asked to not use energy during peak time. Because the grid cannot handle it.
The solution? more extensive cabling.
Which means more copper. 3/7
But the problem... no one really thought about what this would mean for the grid. So a lot of that energy, just cannot go into the system.
People are asked NOT to put up solar.
Also - nearly no one has a battery connected to it. So it ALL goes into the grid. 2/7
Well.... the main problem no one really wants to admit is that we need a new infrastructure for this. The biggest bottleneck (by far) is the grid.
We need LOADS more copper.
Look at the Netherlands - one of the highest solar per capita. Mostly on the roofs. 1/7

Crypto donations are a new back door for foreign interference.
Only one Westminster party accepts them: Reform UK.
We must close every loophole and defend our democracy.

They used EXACTLY the same reason back then.
And you fell for it again?
Fool me once etc.

Didn't have nuclear bombs, didn't even have slong range missiles so no one could think they'd hold the world to ransom.
You believing this π© without a decent Google Search should be below you. (BTW what good did Trump / Netanyahu bombing Iran do last year?)
Yeah.... not buying that.
They weren't even close. Even your CIA said that before.
This is all totally unnecessary.
Iran has literally not been holding anyone to ransom other than the guys that constantly bomb them
You don't need to be a strategist to see this coming a mile off

Law sounds like something restrictive?
Seems like the cool aid has been distributed far too wide.
For those same years the only way to get wealth was to inherit it
Wondering if you also want that again...
If not, you are fundamentally not understanding the role of education in employment.
Not a fan of Zarah S, but she is right on the money here.
Just like we are directly responsible for bombings in Gaza.
We are complicit - though most of us are utterly disgusted by it.
Like Sheryl Sandberg and so many others who are women, but could just as well have been men.
Sex really doesn't matter that much unless you act like it.
I'd rather have very feminine men than masculine women.
It;s the masculinity that is the prob.
Ah = I forgot.
Look - I thankfully don't live in the US and try to stter clear where possible. Mrs Bondi's performance (didn't recognise her) is well known.
She performs for an audience of 1.
Not in that room.
Not for you
Not for me.
But for him.
That;s all
And she did well
No - please share

I'm really all for change - but the women who have adapted to the men's world are not the answer.
They are just as bad.
Is it just me or is there something utterly grotesque about the British right wing press relishing this war....as though this is all just a huge compter game where the men, woman and child civilians who are blown into several pieces are of only periphery consequence?

GSK CEO got 50% pay rise to Β£15.6m.
Did you?
Neoliberals moan about rise in minimum wage. Govts preach pay restraint to workers. Silence on profiteering, hikes in exec pay/perks, dividends, share buybacks.
The state devoted to welfare of the super rich.
There is a magic number (According to Malcom Gladwell) and that is 25%. If you have 25% within a community say X - this suddenly becomes normalised.
Just as Reform was normalised 7 - 8 years ago, the Green party is normalised now and will spread.
This is going to explode from here on out.
If it weren't for social media, by now we'd be so great at Solitaire.
