I finally updated my fic! New name new chapter new me ✨

Like Fontaine and Liyue are aesthetically beautiful and rich in lore and so nice and orderly (like their respective elemental Daddy’s) but I personally relate more to the people of Sumeru and Natlan

Believe it or not despite being obsessed with the old man dragons my favourite region is actually Sumeru lol

I just spent 3 hours writing fan fiction and it’s not even like a third way done. It’s only meant to be a second chapter to a 10 chapter series why am I like this 😭

Being an adult is so perplexing

Yet funnily enough I cherish how powerful I feel now, how capable I feel. I think it’s just knowing how all that still can get beaten down by the reality of the world around me - as a child, despite still experiencing it, my brain didn’t know how to make sense of it all so my heart felt lighter.

I miss the days my chest felt full and warm because I was excited to go to school camp for the first time, or see a movie, or go on an excursion, or see a friend.

I miss when my heart didn’t hold onto heaviness, like responsibilities and decision-making for the future and present.

I’ve been thinking so much about how much happier or simpler my emotions were when I was younger. Funnily enough I wasn’t as free as I am now, but the complexity of what I know and how that makes me feel is something I do despise of and feel exhausted by at times.

I found a book I loved as a child featuring paintings by 2 Chinese artists who traveled thru Pakistan in 1981 and Jesus Christ the art is just as beautiful as I remember. I haven't seen this book in 2 decades. I want to cry.

I always think it’s funny that Kaveh acts like Alhaitham is the only know-it-all as if his huffy princess ass isn’t telling off every second person for some moral flaw or lack of care for aesthetics no one would pick up on save himself
