Sae sighs, as if he couldn’t be bothered with Rin even though his shoulders were squared and his back was straight. “Childish.”

Rin moves to lean back on the couch. “Selfish.”

Childish, selfish, greedy Itoshi brothers

Now, Rin wants to deprive Sae of what he wants.

It just so happens that they both want the same thing.

Every time. Every time Rin wants something Sae just has to take it for himself. The two of them as kids shared everything. That had never been an issue until recently when their ever so strong brotherly relationship tore apart suddenly.

“You’re the idiot if you can’t even see that he has always been mine.” Rin bites back and lifts a finger to shove in his brother’s chest which was promptly smacked away. “Fuck off.”

“The more you want him, the more I see him clearly.” Sae says, eyes glinting and mouth firm.

Once Isagi walks out of the room, towards the kitchen, and away from earshot, Rin whips his head towards Sae, teeth gritted as he makes his place perfectly clear.

“Stay away from him.”

“You don’t own him, idiot.” Sae meets the challenge head on. “He’s his own person.”

“Isagi, go get me a beer from the fridge.” Sae commands without any hesitance.

Isagi grumbles standing up. “Both these brothers are so entitled.” But he goes anyway.

Rin’s heart forgets to beat for a second at the sight and a mixture of intense rage and affection swirls within him creating a mutated form of fondness.

Fuck Isagi, fuck how cute he was, and fuck his brother for taking all that attention away from him.

“I don’t want to play your stupid game.” Rin rolls his eyes and cleans his mess, picking at the pieces of foam. “In fact, stop playing all together. I want the remote.”

“Selfish…”

“What was that?”

Isagi pouts petulantly and turns his head away. “Nothing.”

“It must be a little brother thing.” Isagi blinked, completely unaware of the sibling feud happening in front of him. “You can get the controller after me, Rin!”

His jaw tensed as their eyes met and mirth shined in his brother’s matching irises. “Rin was never good at sharing.”

Rin sneered back at him.

Isagi’s head snapped towards him and he gaped at the mess of plastic and foam over Rin’s pants. “Rin! What’s with you?! You made a mess!”

“Don’t mind him, Yoichi.” Sae cut in before Rin could even come up with a remark.

“Don’t think too hard on it.”

Isagi snaps his fingers. “Ah! I could call you ‘senpai’!”

The styrofoam cup in Rin’s hands burst into tiny pieces and it was a miracle that he drank the rest of his coffee two seconds ago in an attempt to calm down.

That attempt didn’t work.

“Drop the honorific. I shouldn’t have to keep telling you.” Rin’s traitor brother said, and if anyone else was around they would have thought Sae to have been acting aloof or borderline rude.

Rin knew better.

Sae was reveling in Isagi’s attention.

“Hm, but it seems rude…”
