These challenges highlight the need for more comprehensive, coordinated, and accountable approaches to addressing systemic racism in Canada.

Our government can do better, and we should be holding them accountable for doing so!

Resource Allocation:
The current federal strategy, while investing nearly $100 million, faces challenges in,
- Effectively distributing resources across various programs
Supporting community-based initiatives,
- Maintaining long-term sustainability of anti-racism programs.

Educational System Challenges:
Only 28% of school boards have formal anti-racism strategies
26% of school board equity policies don't mention racism.

Legislative Gaps: Only three provinces (British Columbia, Nova Scotia, and Ontario) have enacted anti-racism legislation, while other jurisdictions rely on non-legislated initiatives that lack enforcement mechanisms.
