Slightly? Being deemed terrorists as a group? Abjectly poisonous official disinformation? Healthcare ripped away? Carte blanche given to any and all forms of discrimination and physical harm? I admit a perspective informed by my age, life experience and privilege, but ‘slightly’ is absurd.

Daring to want, to be vulnerable, authentic, yearning to be seen can be the most disappointing but empowering thing we do. Perseverance is hard but it can light the darkness, show a way forward, even if only one tenuous step at a time. That light not only saves our life, but show others a way out. ❤️
