While the rest of the band are in the studio, I'm keeping myself out of mischief... If you are in Coventry and/or Stratford over the next couple of months, then why not come along and say "hello"?

β€˜People think you’re old if you need a hearing aid’: Pete Tong on ageing, all-nighters and hearing loss He helped bring dance music to the mainstream, was a staple of the 90s Ibiza scene and at 65 still DJs on Radio 1. But all those hours in the club have come at a cost. Here, he talks survival, selling...

I'm not 65 (even a well-preserved 65 like Pete Tong) but as someone who has started wearing hearing aids for clarity (and listening to music) I can attest to the importance of getting your hearing checked out:

For anyone tracking this we're just 7 plays short of the Magic 1000 and Spotify opening the keys to the kingdom and welcoming us in. Or something.

Bus wanker! Got a few live dates coming up, so I'm off to Noise Works in Fargo Village to get my Epi D-12 gig-ready; Having moved to Coventry from London, I must say how nice it is to have a bit of leg room and adequate space for my guitar on the bus 🚌 πŸ™‚πŸ‘

You Built A Wall

Our song 'You Built A Wall' is just 41 plays from getting us out of the "sub 1000" category... It was described as "a melodic poetic track with orchestral touches that call to mind late 60s Beatles or Kinks"... so if that tickles your fancy, then check it out:

Here's some flashback pics to a former incarnation of the band playing in East London - we didn’t know then, but it would be over 12 years before me, James, and Dave would play together again...
Next time the doctor asks me to lose weight, I'll show him these pics and tell him I complied in advance.

I chose the latter, and within 3 months I had a new career, and within a year I'd met my wife. I've been back to New York since with my wife, and this song imagines looking back at the memories of those trips as if they were one construct - a city of the mind. (2/3)

ICYMI: Here's a few screenshots from our latest video for 'Summer Rain, Ocean Night'. The song is about one of those "sliding doors" moments in life - a trip to New York, and wanting to live there, but feeling I had unfinished business at home. (1/3)

It's a low-res pic, but there’s plenty of Dylan - all his 60s output, plus a few 70s, and a few rarities:

I've probably got this 2016 thing wrong, but here is a pic of me in '16 with Angelos Epithemiou, and here's a pic of me 10 years later sans Angelos.
A lot's happened since then, but I reckon I look better in '26 - but only 'cos my GP has had me off the booze, salt, and sugar for over a year now.

Shire Folk Showcase Best of 2025 - 2nd January 2026 Jonathan Roscoe, Graham Hobbs and Stephen Ottner pick out their favourite albums from the year just past. Very much pushing the boundaries of the "folk" label in the title of the show.

I was very flattered to hear 'Ghosts In The Hallway' played alongside Jeff Tweedy and Big Thief as part of the Best Of 2025 on Shire Folk Showcase. Presenter Graham notes the song is more soft rock than folk, but "very enjoyable" nonetheless...
