Nice two weeks of remote work in #Catania are coming to an end. Productive work, enjoyed time with local colleagues, and managed also to put in a weekend in Lipari and a very nice conference on Vulcanology by @borisetneo.bsky.social. But nothing beats having a swim and granita before work ;) 🌊 πŸŒ‹ 🐘

A case for feminism in programming language design

Great short talk by @felienne.bsky.social Feminism is naturally geared towards understanding "why things are the way they are" and biased against unfairness and inequality. And "making things easy" is powerful and under appreciated www.hytradboi.com/2025/419859c...

Jake and I were chatting a couple months back about how this week would go and he said, basically verbatim, "There will be a little drama and then Steve Klabnik will put out a thoughtful and nuanced blog post a day or two later" ❀️

πŸ‘‰ Key takeway: Social media platforms inevitably face a trade-off.

Reducing toxicity improves user experience and limits harmful content, but it also lowers engagement and ad revenueβ€”creating a misalignment between social good and corporate incentives.

We all know which side they chose. ☒️

The Short Case for Nvidia Stock All the reasons why Nvidia will have a very hard time living up to the currently lofty expectations of the market.

I read this blogpost 3 times, not interested in the investment aspect, but there's so many valuable insights in here on current development of AI.

Also the writing alone deserves its own separate praise.
