This is so true! My son & I are both neurodivergent & mine is the kind that hates mess & clutter, but his is the kind that don’t gaf about how none of this shit looks. I learned to remind him to clean it with grace. He still cleans it, but he doesn’t get fussed at for it. I treat them like people.

That just happened to me this week with my son! He was in camp and they had a talent show. He sang “Snuff Out the Light” by Eartha Kitt and I had 1. Never heard of this song and 2. Not known that this child is a PERFORMER!!! He performed tf out of that song and I literally cried from pride.
