they were framed in like the exact same way as Denji and Reze to the point you could reasonably extrapolate what happened between them while they were offscreen by looking at Akiangel in certain places.

my guess was that they were just buying time and maybe trying to bleed Yoru- so she'd be weaker against the revived Pochita and probably edible.
i doubt Asa is in on this plan though, so they may well have just saw their chance and took it in whichever order they could

I watched the #chainsawman movie.

Couldn't have asked for a better adaptation. Imo it elevates the manga in just about every way, and they definitely added to Reze's character.

Additionally, Aki and Angel are totally framed as a second couple for the movie.

If you can, definitely see it!

Pretty good brain off movie. I went in for action featuring relatively accurate dinosaurs. And despite some shoddy cgi in some areas and a few questionable script choices, I'd say I got it. It'd be nice to see the other books in the franchise adapted.

Top tier slice of life, another of the est things in jump right now. I hope it gets a good anime adaptation at some point, it really deserves one. And there's a lot of segments that would be taken above and beyond by animation

I caught up with the Dan da Dan manga! That latest arc especially was amazing. One of the best things in modern shonen, with comedy that gets better as it goes along.

Even just from an art perspective it's crazy fun to look at.

It really felt weird to go into "Alien Earth" and come out with barely any named characters dead and barely any carnage happening off the island on earth.

I'd have done things very differently, but I like what we got despite criticisms about the characters mostly being pretty stupid.

I watched alien earth.
When the show was good it gave us some stunning little moments and cool action sequences. I liked the characters, and the plot was pretty alright.

But imo it was way too slow early on, and that ending was god awful when the show hasn't been renewed for a second season.

Denji has also lost all will to live, which is why he's there. They're stuck between choosing a shit life and a bright quiet death, giving up and moving on while their bodies are puppeted.

She's been suicidal to varying degrees for most of the story, with Yoru doing god knows what in hell and killing countless people on earth i think she's trying to give up again.

Yoru gets beat at her own game but escapes. People think she's still out there getting more power to strike again (like we were told about the gun devil initially), but in reality she was crushed under some schoolkid's foot while they were running in a game of tag
