I've been struggling to find energy/motivation to properly draw something outside of drawing archaeological features (mainly pits xD) in work... but somehow this new guardian I got from @sindonic.bsky.social today just sparked a lot of inspiration!
such a fun design to draw!

oops I had forgotten about this place, time flies by and life's been crazy. Time to try again to use this place more, hopefully more regularly now haha

Drawing characters feels a bit rusty after mainly drawing small objects and archaeological profiles the past months haha

and some more pics from a Fjord tour to Mo, the north sea and Bergen at night

A Roman who clearly forgot to put his sundial forward an hour as the inscription describes him as having to ‘run to dinner’ and in his haste he’s lost his sandal.

Make a simple shape

Use a darker lineart to design the type of bark with simple lines.

Decide which side the light is coming from and add the lighter color against one side of the lines

Simple water drop tutorial by Kaia the Bagbean #griffia #bagbean #tutorial #droplet She is an elemental bagbean so water is right up her ally :D She has a snow and water form I need to complete for later.

Anyway this works with any color. Do not have to use gradients if you want to stay simple.

1. Do a shape
2. Add a dark and light
3. Add a white rim that follows the edge
4. Light colors adds lines into dark, and dark on light is just smooth shapes
5 add shading on the white and under it.
6. Profit?
