Waders/shorebirds have relatively high annual survival (and low productivity).
Bird ringing/banding is key to mearsuring survival.
When a survival rate falls it can have a rapid impact on population level.

What everyone forgets is that every soldier has a mother. During years of Cold War imagined mothers on βother sideβ worrying as much as I did (tho I didnβt have children then).
Itβs time we put war in the Middle Ages box & always found peaceful ways of sorting out problems.

This year's winter storms could prove a disaster for UK puffins
Hundreds of dead and dying seabirds are washing up on British beaches.
www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... Mass deaths like this underline just how fragile our #seabirds are, as well as the urgent need to build resilience in their populations...The #RSPB is calling amongst other things, for stronger protection of breeding colonies from invasive predators. #Biosecurity is key

That's the way to do it. So good to see progressive politicians pushing back hard on Reform's messaging. Highly effective and so refreshing and Labour could learn a lot from Polanski in this regard. Take the attack to the Faragists - don't let them get away with it.
