I wrote this over the course of about a week whenever I had time. In order to make it readable I edited it heavily and ran through the process multiple times. Please do not think I did this perfectly the first time. 😅

Capturing and Storing Apache Access Log Data My static sites are served by a Digital Ocean server that uses good old fashioned Apache to serve the content. I have configured that server to capture access log data and the store it on S3.

Migrating Back to Jekyll This week I finished a migration of the blog back to Jekyll and wanted to write up a few things about that process and the motivation.

Migrating from Middleman mostly because Jekyll has better support and momentum - more here: www.jonallured.com/posts/2025/1...

I have a bad habit that I think many devs can relate to where I work more on the features of my blog than I do on actually writing for it. Hey I should use this as an opportunity to write a post about the migrations! 😆 /cc @pepopowitz.bsky.social
