unity staffer matjio talks about the future of unity's render pipeline roadmap. of note is the highlighted sentence: "Still plan to hide/remove the Built-in render pipeline after Unity 6 to reduce fragmentation and maintenance costs, and unleash SRPs potential for everyone, but closely monitor usage and work with studios and the community before taking a final decision."

it seems like a lot of people aren't aware that unity is intending to deprecated-flag the built-in render pipeline (BIRP) after unity 6 as of march of last year.
