And it's giving me a hard time.

I also tried out multiplayer earlier; it was okay, but there were a lot of situations where once I was in a bottom position, I couldn't break out of it.

I play this game mostly in single-player, and while the EXP system helps in keeping my lead...It doesn't do much against a CPU that has perfect turning and can farm EXP faster than you just by staying ahead.

And while the Emeralds are easier to collect now, REACHING THEM is much harder.

The EXP is a massive double-edged sword. If you do well, you get better items. If you don't, you'll get weaker one; and there's a good handful of moments in Ring Racers of "Oh f$%k, I got hit ONCE, I dropped 5 positions and now I can't catch back up." that EXP exasperates.

...you need to play it for yourself.

Both single and multiplayer.
