It's just all a bit disappointing

It feels like it's the same old people using familiar tactics to promote themselves, generate noise and funding but for a slightly different cause

So just keep your eye out for people pushing for schools on limited budgets to spend more money on teaching cooking

These groups seem as unconcerned as ever about the costs involved and remain oblivious to the structural complexity around academies and maintained schools & their financial model

Of course this shift is entirely coincidental to the publication of evidence from London that Universal FSM doesn't improve attainment & DfE move to focus on those in need & expand FSM to support the children UC claimants

Unfortunately both undermine most of their previous campaign arguments

Really noticeable of late that lots of School Food campaigners seem to be shifting focus away from meal provision & on to food education

Many familiar faces insinuating cooking lessons will improve health & education outcomes, often whilst offering up their branded support
